‘They said thank you for saving my relationship’: Em Rusciano inundated with praise from women as new stage show branded ‘Dr Phil in a leotard’ – and it features dancing genitals

Em Rusciano is back with her The Rage and Rainbows Tour.

Appearing on The Project Monday night, the 40-year-old, dressed to the nines, revealed that she has been inundated with messages from women who say the production saved their marriages.

Em told The Project’s hosts: ‘They said thank you for saving my relationship. Which is not what I was expecting.

‘The whole show does centre around the domestic load women are carrying, especially this time of year.’

She says that men are also moved by her message, explaining: ‘Men came to this show. And I know there’s a lot of interesting conversations on the way home.

‘I got all these messages saying, “Thank you, my husband got up this morning and un-stacked the dishwasher.” By the way, that’s not a favour. It’s doing your fair share.’

It is also no doubt inspired by Em’s own marriage to Scott Barrow. The couple have been married for 21 years.

The radio host welcomed her third child, a son named Elio, with Scott in January this year, and they have two older children, Marchella, 16, and Odette, 11.

In 2016, Em revealed that she and Scott had discussed divorce after she was left burned out from touring.

She told news.com.au: ‘I knew that the thought of not seeing him every day made me wretchedly sad, and the hard part was: so too did the idea of staying together.’

The pair took a make-or-break-holiday and worked on their relationship, working out a way to communicate their needs better.

‘Slowly we came back together. We went away and worked on ourselves and started to relate to each other in a new way.

Scott called this a third way of viewing our relationship and making things easier and better,’ she told the publication at the time.

Em left her role as a breakfast radio host on 2Day FM in 2018 after admitting she felt ‘angry’ and ‘ripped off’ when the show changed direction in 2017.
